SERVICES & PROGRAMS

Sensory Tent

A portable sensory retreat is an excellent tool for community events. The space supports children with sensory impairments, and their families to feel included and that they belong at all community occasions.

The sensory tent provides a safe place for children to get away from overwhelming sensory stimuli such as sound, light, touch, and movement. It contains items to assist children experiencing sensory overload, including earmuffs, weighted lap pads, toys, disco-seat and various other sensory toys.

If you are interested in booking the tent for your function, or would like to learn more about it and its features, please contact Richmond Tweed Regional Library Community Engagement on 02 6625 5100 or email CommunityEngagement@rtrl.nsw.gov.au.

To make a booking request please fill out the booking request here.

Items included in the tent:

  • Earmuffs
  • Weighted lap pads
  • Toys
  • Disco-seat

If you need assistance with homelessness and housing, youth and family services, and disability services in the local area, please contact Social Futures Lismore on 02 6620 1800 or via their website at www.socialfutures.org.au.
