Research & Family History
All branches of Richmond Tweed Regional Library have various collections and resources for researching local and family history, including in-library access to ancestry.com.The region-wide Research and Family History Centre collection of family and local history—previously located at 6 Centenary Drive in Goonellabah—is relocating to Level 2 at the newly renovated Lismore Library (OPENING 3 FEBRUARY 2025!) in order to provide greater access. There'll still be trained staff on hand to assist with your research, as well as in-branch access to the library edition of ancestry.com and access to microfilm. We welcome community members across the region to come along and use this great resource!

As we transition the Research and Family History Centre resources and services, there may be temporary interruptions or limited availability. We anticipate that full services and resources will resume by May 2025.
