Drug Info

Public libraries are safe spaces, accessible and open to all which makes them the perfect place to access quality, up to date information about alcohol and other drugs.

You may be concerned about yourself, or a family member, doing a school assignment, or simply wanting to know the health implications of alcohol or caffeine consumption.

All branches of Richmond Tweed Regional Library have regularly updated collections providing easy-to-read information on commonly used drugs such as cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, party drugs, heroin, inhalants, steroids, and tobacco. We also have information on non-medical use of prescribed drugs, current issues such as drugs in sport, drugs and the law, drugs and mental health, alcohol, alcohol guidelines and how to cope with problem drinking, personal narratives and biographies, and where to go for help and support.

You can also visit The State Library of New South Wales' dedicated webpage, www.sl.nsw.gov.au/drug-info, which supplies information about alcohol and other drugs for the community of New South Wales.

Drug Info contains information to help parents and carers talk to young people about alcohol and drugs, drug and alcohol statistics, getting help, and so much more. Keep an eye out for the Drug Info display and pamphlets availale at your local branch of Richmond Tweed Regional Library.
