Ballina Library Upgrade
Temporary relocation of Ballina Library as first major refurbishment in ten years takes place.

Refurbishment
1 September 2025 – November 2025 - Ballina Library site temporarily closed to the community for the duration of the refurbishment (final reopening date is pending completion of refurbishment works)Temporary Library Services Throughout Refurbishment
Starting 6 September 2025 – RTRL Mobile Library available on weekends parked near Ballina Memorial Swimming Pool for browsing, borrowing, returning, and reserving items. Saturdays from 1-4pm, and Sundays from 9:30am-4pm
Starting 8 September 2025 – Limited branch services available at BISC, 9am-2.30pm weekdays. Limited collections for browsing and borrowing, reservation collection, returns accepted during opening hours.
Other Library Services
Full library services are available from any other branch of Richmond Tweed Regional Library including WiFi access, computer access, printing, after hours return chutes, browsing, borrowing, and programs.
Online Anytime - Online services, such as: free ebook, eaudiobook,and emagazine downloads; research and study databases; online access to your library account; ability to search the full collection; ability to place reservations; Branch location and opening hours; Mobile Library location and times; and refurbishment updates, are always available via the RTRL Website and Library App.
