What is the Library Cabinet?
Think of it as a mini-library with maximum convenience. The Cabinet is a self-service unit stocked with a curated selection of books, ready for you to browse, borrow and return.
Already a member of the Richmond Tweed Regional Library? Perfect—you’re good to go! Just scan your card and start borrowing.
Collections available from the Library Cabinet include books, fiction and nonfiction, for all ages.
Items borrowed from the Library Cabinet can also be returned to any Richmond Tweed Regional Library branch.
How to Use
Follow the step-by-step instructions below, then watch the video for a quick walkthrough.
1. Log In
Scan your Richmond Tweed Regional Library card to access your account.
2. Door Opens
Stand clear while the cabinet door opens automatically.
3. Browse, Borrow, Return.
• To borrow: Simply remove items from the shelves.
• To return: Place items back on the shelves.
4. Finalise
When you're done, press the green button to close the door.
Stand clear as the door closes.
5. You're All Set!
Your loans and returns will update automatically once the door closes.
