Transparent Language Online is a fun, effective, and engaging language-learning program available for free to all members of the Richmond-Tweed Regional Library. It is packed full of pronunciation, speech, grammar, writing, and vocabulary building lessons for over 80 languages, including 17 ESL courses.

The National Library of Australia has a large collection of digitised articles available online fromNLA_logo their website. This includes a collection of historic Australian newspapers published from 1803 to 1954 as well as a number of ebooks that are freely available.


Easter Closures

Richmond Tweed Regional Library staff would like to wish our library members and visitors a happy and safe Easter.

All branches in Richmond Tweed Regional Library will be closed during the Easter long weekend including Easter Saturday and reopen on Tuesday 22 April.

We would also like to acknowledge and remember the sacrifices and the fallen on Anzac Day, April 25 – Lest We Forget

All branches will be closed ANZAC DAY, April 25 and reopen Saturday April 26.

Free School holiday Activities at the Library

Kingscliff Public Library closed for maintenance from April 7-22.

The Kingscliff Library will be closed for essential roof maintenance work from Monday April 7, and is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday April 22, unless weather delays completion.  All items borrowed from Kingscliff Library before this time will be given a due date after the reopening. During this time it would be greatly appreciated if our Kingscliff patrons could please use either Tweed Heads (07 55693150) or Murwillumbah (02 66702427) branches for borrowing and returning items, renewals and queries. The mobile library will also be available at Pottsville in Philip Street on Friday April 11, from 9.45-12 and 1-3pm. It will not be possible to return any items to the Kingscliff library, or contact staff there, during this time. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused, and appreciate our patrons’ patience while works are completed

Booking a Computer Online

With the successful rollout of the Public Computer Reservation and Booking System to all branches we are now releasing the Web Module for the new system.
This allows patrons to book a computer at any branch within Richmond Tweed Regional Library via the Internet. You can even cancel existing bookings.
You will be able to access this system from your smart phone, tablet or any other device connected to the internet.
You can also use it to book your next session whilst using the public computer. Note: You cannot book another session for the same day whilst in a current session.

Simply click on the link on the right hand side of the front page of the library website to access the system.
