The National Library of Australia has a large collection of digitised articles available online fromNLA_logo their website. This includes a collection of historic Australian newspapers published from 1803 to 1954 as well as a number of ebooks that are freely available.

Overdrive eBooks

The Richmond Tweed Regional Library is proud to offer library members our new expanded eResources service. Current and classic eBooks are now available for download. Library members can check out, download and enjoy titles from the comfort of home via digital media anytime, anywhere.

Users may browse the eBook catalogue, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software (Adobe Digital Editions) to read eBooks. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod, Sony Reader, and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

Music Downloads

The Richmond-Tweed Regional Library now offers music downloads via the Freegal music service to its members.

With access to the Sony Music Entertainment catalog, it offers hundreds of thousands of songs, over 100 genres of music, and more than 50 record labels, all without having to download software or have any digital rights management (DRM) issues to deal with.

Library members can gain access to Freegal using their member number and PIN which will allow the download of up to three songs per week. To access Freegal, you will need to login to the library catalogue and then click Download Music from the Navigation menu. Information about our other eresources can be found here.
