E.J. Wright Collection

The E. J. Wright Collection comprises more than 1000 photographs and documents relating to Byron Bay and has been donated to the Byron Bay Library by the family of Eric Wright (1918-2004), a local identity and keen historian. The photos have been digitised, as a joint project with both Byron Bay and Brunswick Valley Historical Societies, and have been  integrated into the existing local studies collection.

The collection is not able to be searched on the Library's catalogue but images can be viewed by visiting the Byron Bay Library.  Byron Bay Library has a dedicated local studies room housing books, back issues of local newspapers, and a collection of photos & news clippings relating to Byron Shire.

A small selection of photos from the EJ Wright Collection are available online at our Flickr site. Click here to view.
